This Indo-American artwork is a gujarati folk dance called raas-garba. Raas-Garba is a Gujarati folk dance done to various beats. This dance is performed, often, in celebratory occasions in one’s life.¬† Garba-Raas is most popularly known as the dance that Krishna partook in by multiplying His form and dancing with each of the gopis simultaneously.¬†The¬†illustration shown is depicting a couple enjoying the pure love of performing the raas-garba or garba-raas. Traditionally the garba dance is performed by women around the idol of Mataji. The word Garbh means the woumb.
